Fiesta Feelings at River Ranch Stockyards / by Georgia Phillips

On May 26th, I planned and executed my own styled shoot here in Fort Worth, for the first time. We got to shoot on a Saturday morning at River Ranch Stockyards, and it was a lot of fun. Hot and exhausting, but a whole lot of fun. There were lots of things that impressed me, and there were a few things I learned that I want to gracefully improve for the next one. It was very exciting.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the vendors that got to participate. It can be a little nerve-wracking working with new vendors, having no clue what they're bringing to the table (literally). But what is life without chance?! These vendors blew my mind with their talent and commitment. That says a lot to me. Also, this turned out to be an all girls collaboration, and I loved every minute of it. (With the help of a few husbands that did all the heavy labor) ;)

Here is my all-girl team that I would recommend to anyone:

Hair: Adrienne Vigil
This girl has been a friend and sista' of mine for years and I appreciate her talent and passion for beauty. She did an amazing job working with me and other vendors, while making our model's hair look AMAZING.

Makeup: Karina Lugo
Karina stepped in as the makeup artist at the last minute, and blew us all away. Her artistry looked gorgeous on camera and in person.

Dress/Flowers/Decor: Lizeth Garcia
MY GIRL! Lizeth is one of my favorite people in the world. This girl is an artist that makes the world more beautiful every day. Her design skills are New York level, and I love her for it. She also makes incredible jumpsuits and cocktail dresses, which will also be up on the blog very soon.

Invitations: Madpaperie and 24th Ave Designs.
Yes, I chose two because their styles were different.. and also it was my shoot and I do whatever I want. ;) I was very impressed with both of their invitation suites. Cristina with 24th Ave. Designs came through with a gold foil press invite (um..amazing!) and Michele with Madpaperie did a hand torn water color style invite, which looked delightful on camera.

Jewelry: Alicia G Exclusive
Alright y'all. You love tassels and leather earrings? Alicia is your girl. Her neon jewelry went along perfectly with our theme. Everyone is in love with this girl's work after our shoot on Saturday. I've already bought 2 pairs of her earrings and will be purchasing more this year! (She even came through with making me some CLIPS, cause my ears aren't pierced)

Cake: Pretty Sweet Cakes
OOOOMMMGGG, this cake!!!! SCROLL DOWN! I cannot wait for y'all to see this. The very sweet Paulina showed up with a three tier cake that was decorated with perfection. Everyone was in love with this cake. This will take y'all's breath away.

Model: Fabiola Penrod
I have to give a shoutout to Miss Fabi. Thank you so much for being such a good sport. Wearing makeup and hair in the hot nasty sweaty sun, while looking beautiful the whole time! YOU ROCK.

I'm planning on trying another styled shoot this year, WHEN IT COOLS DOWN! ;) If you've never done one before, try it!

Everyone have a blessed day. I'm feeling blessed, myself.
